About Me
From a young age, I was drawn to stories — folklore and myth, filled with mystery and magic. These tales seemed to unfold in some far-off realm, often deep in the forest. And yet, they swirled into my dreams as something close, something as part of me.
I’ve always loved art and nature. As a child, I was forever creating — or filing my pockets with rocks and twigs. The weight of them felt wonderful, as if I’d gathered small fragments of the cosmos. In touching them, I sensed a bridge between the vastness of the universe and the pulse of human nature. Heaven and earth.
Over time, I realized these are our collective stories — yours and mine — carried in objects, symbols, and meaning. When a piece resonates with you, it may be echoing your own dreams and myths. In that way, we are collaborating.
The materials I use — driftwood, clay, stones, shells, fabric and beads — have their own journeys too. Driftwood, especially, has been shaped by time and turbulence, by tides and weather, until it becomes something transformed, ready to tell a new story.
I love that notion, it’s a part of creating these pieces, along with the experience of holding them while I work. Many of my sculptures are rattles… so you can hold them too. Feel their weight. Hear their song.
In a world that often feels chaotic, I believe meaningful objects help us pause, connect, and honor the deeper stories that live within us — and the joy that keeps us moving forward.
